A prolific scorer and playmaker at forward, Michelle Novosel helped lead the Grove City women’s soccer program to its first two NCAA Division III Championship Tournament appearances during her career from 2001 to 2004.

Novosel earned First Team All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference honors in 2001, 2003 and 2004 and concluded her career ranked second in program history with 125 career points and 27 career assists.

As a freshman in 2001, Novosel scored a team-leading 14 goals and helped lead the Wolverines to the conference title. She scored four goals during the conference tournament, earning the tournament’s Offensive Most Valuable Player honor.

In 2002, Novosel scored 12 goals and tallied eight assists while helping Grove City advance to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. She recorded an assist in Grove City’s NCAA Tournament match at Nazareth.

Grove City returned to the NCAA Tournament in 2003 as Novosel recorded a program-record 13 assists. She also scored 12 goals while helping the Wolverines to a program-best 16 victories under head coach Melissa Lamie.

As a senior, Novosel became Grove City’s all-time leader with 86 matches played. She tallied 11 goals, including a team-leading five game-winning goals. She concluded her career with 49 goals, the third-highest total in program annals.

A graduate of nearby Wilmington High School, Novosel also earned Dean’s List and PAC Academic Honor Roll recognition during her career. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics.
