Alyssa Bradford became the first four-time Presidents’ Athletic Conference Player of the Year in women’s tennis during her stellar career at Grove City College from 1998 to 2001.

A native of Akron, Ohio, and a graduate of Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, Bradford moved to the top of the Grove City lineup prior to her freshman season.

She started at fi rst singles and fi rst doubles throughout her career and won conference titles in both flights during each of her four seasons.

Bradford compiled a 57-7 career record at first singles and also posted a 54-10 record at fi rst doubles. She went undefeated in conference play and did not drop a set against a conference opponent throughout her career.

As a freshman, she advanced to the finals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association regional championships in Geneva, N.Y. She then advanced to the semifinals in 1999 as a sophomore.

Bradford helped lead Grove City to a 38-8 overall record during her career, including a 24-1 record against NCAA Division III opponents. Grove City won the conference title in each of her four seasons at the top of the lineup.

The conference named Bradford to its 60th Anniversary Team in 2014. Bradford also earned placement on the conference’s Academic Honor Roll during her career.

Bradford graduated from Grove City with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 2002. She then earned a master’s degree in elementary reading from Nova Southeastern University in 2005.
