ACWPC honors Baksa

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) honored Grove City College sophomore Frances Baksa (Longwood, Fla./Lake Mary) as an Honorable Mention Division III All-American in recognition of her performance throughout the 2026 season. The ACWPC announced its All-America teams Tuesday afternoon.

Baksa fired in a team-leading 74 goals this season for Grove City while also adding 22 assists. She recorded 17 multi-goal outings, including five six-goal performances during the 2026 campaign. Baksa highlighted the regular season with a six-goal, three-assist performance March 7 in a 17-13 win over Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III rival Connecticut College.

She also scored six times during the regular season against Washington & Jefferson, Wheaton (Mass.), and twice against Penn State Behrend.

Baksa then scored five times April 10 against W&J at the CWPA Division III Championships, powering the Wolverines to a 16-13 win over their longtime league rival. Grove City finished fourth at the conference championships, marking the program's best finish in the league since 2021.

She earned First Team All-Tournament at the CWPA Division III Championships. The CWPA Division III conference's head coaches recognized her as a Second Team All-Conference selection at the conclusion of the regular season.

Baksa is the first Grove City water polo player to earn ACWPC All-America since Reese Trauger in 2021. She is the 17th player in program history to be named as an ACWPC All-American.
