CARTHAGE, Wis. -- The Grove City College women's water polo team dropped a pair of Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III outings Saturday at Carthage College. Austin picked up a 16-7 win over Grove City in Saturday's opener while Carthage downed the Wolverines, 14-6, in the finale Saturday.
Sophomore
Frances Baksa (Longwood, Fla./Lake Mary) fired in three goals against Austin while junior
Shastyn Tihansky (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton) scored twice. Senior
Kiley Sill (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) and sophomore
Emma Strahorn (Harleysville, Pa./North Penn) also scored for the Wolverines.
Baksa also had three assists. Strahorn, Tihansky and freshman
Amelia Hervey (Naperville, Ill./Metea Valley) each assisted one goal.Â
Tihansky paced Grove City's defense with five steals while Strahorn secured four steals. Baksa and senior goalie
Lea Steen (Schaumburg, Ill./Schaumburg) both had two takeaways. Steen stopped 10 shots.Â
Carthage outscored Grove City, 5-0, in the fourth quarter to break open Saturday's second game. Tihansky scored three times while Baksa, Hervey and Strahorn also scored. Sill chalked up three assists and Hervey added an assist.

Emily Addison (Eads, Tenn./Faith Heritage Christian) both recorded three steals. Steen posted three saves.Â
The Wolverines will play a pair of conference matches March 15 at Carthage, starting with a 9 a.m. EDT match against Macalester. The weekend trip and conference schedule conclude with a 1 p.m. EDT tilt against Augustana (Ill.).
