ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The Grove City College women's water polo team concluded the 2025 season Sunday by dropping a 12-11 decision to Connecticut College in the seventh-place game at the Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Championships, hosted by Augustana College.
Sophomore
Shastyn Tihansky (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton) fired in five goals for the Wolverines, who held a 6-4 lead at halftime. Junior
Kiley Sill (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) and freshman
Zoe Luttrell (Naperville, Ill./Metea Valley) each scored two goals while freshmen
Frances Baksa (Longwood, Fla./Lake Mary) and
Emma Strahorn (Harleysville, Pa./North Penn) also scored.
Luttrell and senior
Kamryn Kerr (East Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) both recorded three assists. Senior
Riley McCullough (Spring, Texas/Oak Ridge) assisted two goals while Baksa and Strahorn had one assist each.
Junior goalie
Lea Steen (Schaumburg, Ill./Schaumburg) led the defense with three steals. Luttrell and Tihansky both had two thefts. Steen stopped nine shots.
Grove City (5-15) will graduate Kerr, McCullough, senior
Sam Logue (Hollister, Calif./San Benito) and senior
Mikayla Zablocki (Kittanning, Pa./Armstrong) from the program.
