ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The Grove City College women's water polo team opened play at the 2025 Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Championships with a 15-3 setback against No. 2 seed Macalester in Friday afternoon's first round at Augustana College.

Riley McCullough (Spring, Texas/Oak Ridge), junior
Kiley Sill (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) and freshman
Frances Baksa (Longwood, Fla./Lake Mary) all scored for the seventh-seeded Wolverines. Baksa also tallied an assist, as did sophomore
Shastyn Tihansky (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton) and freshman
Emma Strahorn (Harleysville, Pa./North Penn).
Baksa and Tihansky both recorded three steals. In goal, junior
Lea Steen (Schaumburg, Ill./Schaumburg) made six saves.
Grove City returns to action Saturday at 11 a.m. Eastern, when the Wolverines face Carthage at Augustana's Anne Greve Lund Natatorium.
