Box Score 2 BRADFORD, Pa. -- The Grove City College softball team extended its winning streak to seven games Monday evening by earning a non-conference doubleheader sweep at Pitt-Bradford. Grove City (11-4) won the opener in six innings, 13-3, and then rallied for a 9-8 victory in the nightcap.

Brooke Brodie (Mogadore, Ohio/Mogadore) followed with a single and later scored the go-ahead run on a single from freshman left fielder

Kristin Tesch (Clinton Township, Mich./Chippewa Valley) capped the comeback by launching a two-run home run to right field for her first collegiate round-tripper.Â
Pitt-Bradford scored twice in the bottom of the seventh but winning pitcher
Abigail Meadors (Warren, Ohio/Champion) struck out Mia Dunleavy with the tying run on first to end the game.
Grove City grabbed a 3-0 lead in the first inning as Brodie and junior center fielder
Noel Anthony (Clarion, Pa./Clarion) both cracked run-scoring doubles. Senior right fielder
Annika Rinehart (McDonald, Pa./Fort Cherry) added a run-scoring single in the inning.Â

Maci Linhart (Columbiana, Ohio/Columbiana) to give Grove City a 5-3 lead in the second inning.Â
Linhart doubled and scored two runs in the nightcap. Brodie and senior shortstop
Rachel Zona (New Castle, Pa./New Castle) both went 2 for 4 while Rinehart finished 2 for 3.Â
Meadors earned the win after allowing one earned run in three innings of relief. She struck out five. Sophomore pitcher
Alexis Jackson (Coventry Township, Ohio/Coventry) started and pitched the first four innings. She allowed four earned runs.Â
Jackson singled in Brodie and Linhart in the first inning of the opener to give Grove City a 2-0 lead. Pitt-Bradford rebounded to take a 3-2 lead in the third inning but Grove City forged a 3-3 tie when Jackson scored on a fourth-inning single from sophomore DP
Emma Covert (Chicora, Pa./Moniteau).
Grove City scored five runs in both the fifth and sixth innings. Linhart and Anthony both hit sacrifice flies in the fifth while Rinehart's two-run double gave Grove City a 7-3 lead. Rinehart scored the final run of the fifth on a wild pitch.Â

Kyla Campbell (Altoona, Pa./Glendale) in the seventh. Rinehart and Anthony both scored on an error while Zona doubled home McBride to close the scoring.
Brodie earned the pitching win by tossing five innings. She struck out four and allowed five hits. Meadors pitched a scoreless sixth inning. Meadors struck out two.Â
Grove City returns to Presidents' Athletic Conference action Wednesday with a 3:30 p.m. doubleheader at Washington & Jefferson.Â
