YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Grove City College women's indoor track and field team scored points in all 16 events Thursday night at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships on the way to the conference title at Youngstown State's Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS).
Thanks in part to six event wins, Grove City amassed a meet-best 148 team points. Westminster finished second with 120 points while Allegheny scored 112 points.
Women's track Most Valuable Performer
Lydia Bennett (Bethel, Maine/Gould Academy) and conference Newcomer of the Year
Kiara White (Perkiomenville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) combined for five individual wins Thursday night.
A senior, Bennett won the 800, the mile and the 3000 meters. She also ran a leg of Grove City's victorious 1600-meter relay. White, a freshman, won both the 60- and 200-meter dashes.
Bennett won the 800 meters in a conference-record time of 2 minutes, 15.14 seconds. She then set a conference and school record in the mile with a winning time of 4:57.51. Bennett also posted a time of 10:21.23 to take the 3000.

Audrey Karwowski (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) closed the meet with a school- and conference-record time of 4:03.20 in the 1600 relay.
White won the 200 meters in a Grove City-record time of 25.64 seconds. She tied Grove City's program record in the 60 with a winning time of 7.86 seconds.

Kaylynn Johnson (Otisfield, Maine/Oxford Hills) earned runner-up with a time of 12:40.13. That time surpassed the previous conference record.
Lauffer also finished second in the 400 meters with a Grove City-record time of 59.14 seconds. Senior
Grace Smith (Dover, Ohio/Dover) placed second in the 3000 (10:26.64) and third in the mile (5:08.87).
Sophomore
Elly Bruner (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter Strasburg) cleared 5-2 1/4 in the high jump to earn third. Lawrence took fourth in the mile (5:09.93) while Karwowski produced a fourth-place time of 2:18.95 in the 800 meters. Lauffer placed fourth in the 200 (26.49).
Freshman
Lucy Gyergyo (Wexford, Pa./Eden Christian) earned fifth in the triple jump with a best mark of 34 feet. Lawrence also placed fifth in the 800 meters (2:20.64) while Lindberg finished sixth in 2:20.92. Bruner marked at 33-10 in the triple jump, good for sixth place. Gyergyo added a sixth-place performance in the 60 hurdles (10.07).
Senior
Danika Sudar (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley) placed sixth in the weight throw with a best toss of 43-8 3/4. Senior
Rebecca Vezzosi (Harpers Ferry, W.Va./Leonardtown, Md.) finished sixth in the long jump (16-6 1/2) and freshman
Hannah Herrmann (Hilton, N.Y./Paul V. Moore) cleared 10-2 to take sixth in the pole vault.
Annie Herrmann finished seventh in the 400 (1:03.48) while Lyle secured seventh in the 5000 with a time of 18:17.21. Sophomore
Victoria Leak (Andover, N.H./Manchester Valley) marked at 16-6 in the long jump to earn seventh place. Junior
Megan Wise (West Sunbury, Pa./Moniteau) took seventh in the shot put with a top heave of 35-10 1/2.
Sophomore
Kendall Coddington (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) cleared 4-10 1/4 to take eighth in the high jump. Senior
Virginia Williams (Copley, Ohio/Copley) scored in both the 3000 and 5000 by taking eighth in each event. She recorded a time of 11:06.92 in the 3000 meters and an 18:45.56 clocking in the 5000.

Jessica Cooper earned the conference's Coach of the Year award.
Several Grove City performers have qualified for the All-Atlantic Championships, which will be held March 7-8 in Ithaca, N.Y.
