CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Grove City College men's track and field team recorded several notable finishes Saturday as the Wolverines opened the 2025-26 indoor season at Case Western Reserve's 12th annual Spartan Holiday Classic.
Senior
Alex Mitchell (Hummelstown, Pa./Harrisburg Christian) helped pace Grove City at the meet by winning the 400 meters in a time of 49.99 seconds. He also anchored Grove City's victorious 1600 relay, which posted a time of 3:29.75. Sophomore
Jeremiah Knowles (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata), freshman
Joseph Brallier (Bedford, Pa./Bedford) and senior
Isaac Busler (Butler, Pa./Butler) contributed the other three legs of the winning relay.
Mitchell added a second-place finish in the 200, recording a time of 22.59 seconds. Knowles earned second in the 400 (51.45). Freshman
Elijah Divito (Pittsburgh, Pa./Eden Christian) posted two runner-up finishes in his collegiate debut. He marked at 22 feet, 10 inches to take second in the long jump. Divito then recorded a best leap of 43-10 3/4 in the triple jump, good for second place.Â
Brallier finished third in the 400 with a time of 51.87 seconds. Senior
Tucker Owens (Gainesville, N.Y./Letchworth) took third in the pole vault by clearing 13-11 1/4 while classmate
Michael Chambers (Bridgeville, Pa./Canon-McMillan) finished fourth in the pole vault with a top height of 13-5 1/2.
Busler took fourth in the 800 (2:04.88) while Divito finished fifth in the high jump by clearing 6 feet, 1/4 inch.Â
Brallier finished seventh in the 200 (23.61) while freshman
Aaron Peterson (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) cleared 12-11 1/2 in the pole vault to take seventh place. Senior
Greg Wilson (Akron, Ohio/Revere) finished eighth in the 60 (7.22) and 200 (23.64) dashes. Freshman
Adam Frankhauser (Irwin, Pa./Hempfield) finished eighth in the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.31 seconds.Â
Grove City resumes its schedule January 17, 2026 with a return trip to Case Western Reserve.
