MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The Grove City College men's track and field team accumulated 138 points Thursday and Friday at the 2026 Presidents' Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships, held at West Virginia University's Mylan Park. The Wolverines finished second in the team standings as Geneva edged out Grove City for the team title by 7 1/2 points.
Grove City competitors won three events at the two-day Championships. Senior
Tucker Owens (Gainesville, N.Y./Letchworth) won the pole vault by clearing 13 feet, 11 inches. Sophomore
Caleb Haley (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) won the triple jump with a top leap of 45 feet, 1 3/4 inches.Â

Alex Mitchell (Hummelstown, Pa./Harrisburg Christian) led Grove City on the track by winning the 400 meters in a time of 47.85 seconds.Â

Michael Chambers (Bridgeville, Pa./Canon-McMillan) also cleared 13-11 in the pole vault and finished as the runner-up. Freshman
Elijah Divito (Pittsburgh, Pa./Eden Christian) marked at 44 feet in the triple jump, good for second place.Â

Ethan Wiley (Mercer, Pa./Mercer) recorded a third-place toss of 173 feet, 9 inches in the javelin. Divito also finished fourth in the high jump by clearing 6-1 1/4. Haley took fourth in the long jump (21-6 3/4) while freshman
Aaron Peterson (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) finished fourth in the pole vault as he cleared 12-11.Â

Michael Singley (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita) took fourth in the steeplechase, recording a time of 9:54.79.Â
Mitchell finished fifth in the 200 (22.16) while Owens threw the javelin 163-10 to take fifth place. Freshman
Zier Williams (Russellton, Pa./Deer Lakes) finished fifth in the discus with a top throw of 125-8 while freshman
John Hershey (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) cleared 12-5 1/4 to finish fifth in the pole vault.Â

Brandon Kendrew (Harmony, Pa./Seneca Valley) teamed to take fifth place in the 4x100 relay with a time of 42.53 seconds. Kendrew also finished fifth in the 110 hurdles, recording a time of 16.36 seconds.Â

Eli Miller (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) earned fifth in the 800 (1:58.93) while sophomore
Joshua Haley (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) took fifth in the 1500 with a time of 4:05.30. Freshman
Colsen Frank (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) placed fifth in the 5000 meters (15:25.28). Senior
Luke Roberts (Post Falls, Idaho/Post Falls) captured fifth place in the 10,000 meters, covering the 25 laps in 32:17.58.
Knowles took sixth in the 400 meters (49.40) while Busler took sixth in the 800 in a time of 1:59.20. Owens finished seventh in the hammer throw with a top mark of 128-6 while Roberts finished seventh in the 5000 (15:36.31). Sophomore
Brock Beachem (Butler, Pa./Moniteau) finished seventh in the javelin (158-2) and freshman
Joe McKelvey (Windber, Pa./Windber) secured eighth place in the steeplechase (10:28.04).
Several Grove City athletes will compete next Friday at Baldwin Wallace's Harrison Dillard Twilight in Berea, Ohio.
