YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Two Grove City College women's track and field athletes set indoor program records Friday and Saturday at the Youngstown State Mid-Major Invitational, held at the Watson and Tressel Training Site.
Senior
Emma Vezzosi (St. Mary's County, Md./Leonardtown) set Grove City's program record in the indoor pentathlon with 2,873 points. She placed seventh overall. Meanwhile, sophomore
Danika Sudar (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley) broke her own school record in the weight throw with a best toss of 38 feet, 2 3/4 inches. She finished 32nd overall and fifth among Division III participants.
Sophomore
Grace Smith (Dover, Ohio/Dover) placed seventh overall in the mile with a time of 5 minutes, 18.13 seconds. She finished first among Division III runners in the event.

Alaina Post (New Berlin, Pa./Mifflinburg) took eighth place in 14:59.31.
Sophomore
Carolyn Colteryahn (Essex Junction, Vt.), junior
Sydney Stainbrook (Greenville, Pa./Greenville), Vezzosi and Biddle combined to finish 13th in the 1600 relay (4:22.03).
Bauer also earned 15th place in the 5000 with a time of 20:29.76.
Sophomore
Tori Stewart (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine Richland) took 22nd in the triple jump with a leap of 31-1 3/4. Post finished 23rd in the 5000 (21:01.36) while senior
Anna Rose Sayles (Shelby, N.C./Homeschooled) finished 23rd in the shot put (35-7 3/4). Sophomore
Ella Lyle (Hurricane, W.Va./Ignite) finished 25th in the 3000 meters with a time of 11:41.53.
Grove City returns to action next Saturday at Mount Union's Jim Wuske Invitational in Alliance, Ohio.
