MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The Grove City College women's track and field team captured six event victories Thursday and Friday at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships on the way to a runner-up finish in the team standings at West Virginia University's Mylan Park.
Grove City finished the two-day meet with 123 1/2 team points. Geneva won the crown with 140 1/2 points.
Five of Grove City's six victories came on the track, including two individual wins from sophomore
Kiara White (Perkiomenville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley). White won the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.61 seconds and then took the 200 in a time of 25.98 seconds.
Sophomore
Nadine Lauffer (New Castle, Pa.) won the 400 in 57.54 seconds and senior
Audrey Karwowski (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) captured the 800 with a meet-record time of 2:13.46.

Hannah Roegiers (Marion, N.Y./Marion Central) and junior
Annie Herrmann (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trail) won the 1600 relay in a time of 4:03.99.
Sophomore
Lucy Gyergyo (Wexford, Pa./Eden Christian) led the Wolverines in the field events by winning the triple jump. Gyergyo marked at 36 feet, 1 1/4 inches to win the title.
Junior
Cayla Lawrence (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) earned runner-up in the 1500 with a time of 4:38.81 and also finished third in the 800 (2:18.50). Lauffer took third in the 400 hurdles (1:06.59) while Gyergyo took third in the long jump with a top mark of 16-10 3/4. Sophomore
Hannah Herrmann (Hilton, N.Y./Paul V. Moore) cleared 11-1 3/4 to place third in the pole vault.
Sophomore
Julianna Lindberg (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) earned fourth in the 800 (2:19.62) as well as in the 1500 (4:48.44). Junior
Kendall Coddington (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) cleared 5 feet, 1/2 inch to secure fourth place in the high jump.
Senior
Megan Wise (West Sunbury, Pa./Moniteau) placed fifth in the shot put with a top effort of 36-5. Lawrence took sixth in the 5000 (18:41.44) while Gyergyo took seventh in the 100 hurdles with a clocking of 16.67 seconds.
Sophomore
Abigail Nelson (Cheverly, Md.) earned seventh in the 3000 steeplechase with a time of 12:33.16. Sophomore
Claire Wisler (New Brighton, Pa./Plants and Pillars) posted a top effort of 16-6 1/2 in the long jump to take seventh place. Freshman
Aiva Reich (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock) finished eighth in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:09.95.
Several Grove City athletes will compete in the Baldwin Wallace University Harrison Dillard Twilight meet next Friday in Berea, Ohio.
