GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Grove City College junior middle distance performer Cayla Lawrence (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) earned Presidents' Athletic Conference Track Athlete of the Week honors Tuesday afternoon in recognition of her performances last Friday night at Allegheny College's Marty Goldberg Invitational.

Lawrence won the 800 meters with a time of 2 minutes, 16.86 seconds. That time ranks fourth in the conference. She also helped the 1600 relay post a winning time of 4:01.36, the third-best time in program history and the fastest in the conference this year. Sophomore Julianna Lindberg (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central), junior Annie Herrmann (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trail) and senior Audrey Karwowski (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) joined Lawrence on the 4x400 relay.

The Grove City track and field teams will compete in the conference championships this Thursday and Friday at West Virginia University.
