GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Seven Grove City College athletes earned weekly distinction Monday afternoon from the Presidents' Athletic Conference in recognition of their recent performances.
Grove City swept all four weekly awards in men's lacrosse. Senior midfielder
Brett Gladstone (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) captured PAC Offensive Player of the Week while senior long stick midfielder
Addison Bennett (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield) earned Defensive Player of the Week.

Grant Evans (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) earned the newly-created Specialist of the Week award and freshman attack
Zachary Hougan (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) earned Rookie of the Week.
Grove City produced the indoor track and field Rookie of the Week on both the men's and women's side. Sophomore
Nick Gustafson (Newburg, Pa./Shippensburg) earned Men's Rookie of the Week and freshman
Grace Smith (Dover, Ohio/Dover) earned Women's Rookie of the Week.

Evan Umland (Pasadena, Calif./La Canada) earned Rookie of the Week in baseball.
Grove City's quartet of lacrosse honorees helped the Wolverines earn two victories February 12-13 at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn. Gladstone scored seven goals and added two assists February 13 in Grove City's 22-14 victory over No. 14 Colorado College. He opened the season with a goal and three assists the day before in Grove City's 17-8 win over Rhodes.
Bennett caused four total turnovers and added three ground balls in the Wolverines' two victories in Memphis. Evans, meanwhile, won 28 of 41 (68 percent) faceoffs in the two games. He recorded 16 total ground balls and also scored a goal. Hougan posted six goals and three assists against Colorado College after debuting with two goals against Rhodes.
Gustafson earned second place in the shot put last Saturday at the Mount Union Tune-Up. He posted a best mark of 45 feet, 1 1/4 inches, which is the top effort this season in the conference.
Smith ran the 1600 for Grove City's distance medley relay Saturday at Mount Union. Her effort helped Grove City record a victorious and meet-record time of 13 minutes, 24.41 seconds. That time ranks second in the conference. Smith also took fourth in the mile (5:27.97), the fifth-best time in the conference this season.
Umland made his collegiate debut Saturday afternoon in Grove City's 12-2 victory at Berea (Ky.). Umland struck out 11 men and allowed one earned run over five innings.
The Grove City men's lacrosse team returns to action Saturday at Baldwin Wallace. The track and field teams will compete in the conference championships Thursday at Youngstown State. Meanwhile, the Grove City baseball team returns to action Friday in Davenport, Fla., against Northern Vermont.
