Tirzah Lloyd (Durham, N.C./Homeschooled) added her team-leading fifth goal of the season Wednesday night to help lead the Grove City College women's soccer team to a 3-1 victory at Franciscan in Presidents' Athletc Conference action.
Grove City (8-7, 5-2 PAC) grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first half as Lagerquist scored twice in a five-minute span. She broke a scoreless tie at 36:25 with her second goal of the season. Freshman
Natalie Merrick (Cranberry Township, Pa./Eden Christian) assisted Lagerquist's goal.
The lead grew to 2-0 when Lagerquist scored at 41:07, following an assist senior
Lillian Kimpel (Canfield, Ohio/South Range). Kimpel notched her second assist this fall.
Lloyd sealed the win at 78:41 with her fifth goal this season. Sophomore
Rachel Sullivan (Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury) assisted Lloyd's goal.
Franciscan (7-6, 4-3 PAC) closed the scoring at 87:20 when Tania Davidson scored an unassisted goal.
Grove City outshot the Barons, 21-10, including a 13-5 edge in shots on goal. Franciscan had two corner kicks and Grove City had one corner.

Courtney Lisman (Mars, Pa./Mars) earned her eighth win of the season for Grove City by stopping four shots.Â
Wednesday night's win concludes the road portion of Grove City's schedule. The Wolverines will host Bethany at 1 p.m. Saturday for Senior Day at Don Lyle Field. Next Wednesday, Grove City hosts Saint Vincent in the regular season finale. Two Grove City victories will clinch the No. 2 seed in the season-ending conference tournament. The top two seeds receive quarterfinal round byes and home field advantage in the semifinals.Â
