GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team scored three times in the first 29 minutes Friday afternoon against visiting Lycoming (0-1) and then added three more goals in the second half on the way to a 6-0 triumph in non-conference action at Don Lyle Field.
Senior midfielder
Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler) and sophomore forward
Emily Horst (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County) both scored twice for Grove City (1-0-1) while sophomore midfielder
Ady Waters (Port Clinton, Ohio/Tree of Life Christian) and freshman midfielder
Ava Soley (Butler, Pa./Butler) also scored Friday.
Stevenson opened the scoring 1:51 into the match by converting a penalty kick for her fourth goal of the season. The lead grew to 2-0 at 15:22 when Waters scored her first goal of the season. Horst assisted the Waters goal.
Horst posted an unassisted goal at 28:22, giving the Wolverines a 3-0 advantage. She then opened the second-half scoring at the 54:50 mark with her second goal of the match. Stevenson supplied the assist.
Stevenson boosted the lead to 5-0 at 58:26 when she tallied her team-leading fifth goal of the season. Senior defender
Meghan Tischler (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) provided the assist.
Soley closed the scoring in the 87th minute with an unassisted goal, the first score of her collegiate career.
Grove City owned a 22-7 shot edge. The Wolverines put a dozen shots on goal while Lycoming, 17-2-1 last year, had three shots on goal. Grove City also attained an 8-1 edge in corner kicks.

Maddie Mills (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna) earned the win by playing the first half. She made one save. Sophomore
Ella Lotz (McKeesport, Pa./South Allegheny) made two saves in the second half, clinching the shutout.
The Wolverines will host Mount Aloysius in non-conference play Saturday at 2 p.m. at Don Lyle Field.
