Perfect 10 for Grove City

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Four Grove City College women's soccer players scored multiple goals Saturday afternoon to help vault the Wolverines to a 10-0 win over visiting Mount Aloysius in a non-conference tilt at Don Lyle Field. The Wolverines (2-0-1) have now scored 20 goals this season.

Senior forward Hannah Plunkard (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock), freshman midfielder Ava Soley (Butler, Pa./Butler), senior midfielder Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler) and junior forward Kiara White (Perkiomenville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) all scored twice. 

Junior midfielder Grace Platt (Elgin, Ill./Wheaton Academy) and freshman midfielder Maddie Wivell (Leesburg, Va./Evergreen Christian) also scored Saturday.

Grove City scored three times in the first 3:12 of the match. White scored an unassisted goal 88 seconds into the match while Stevenson scored at 2:06. Senior midfielder Kirstin Musser (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) assisted Stevenson's tally. 

White followed with her second unassisted goal at 3:12. 

Soley pushed the lead to 4-0 with a goal at 14:30. Sophomore midfielder Payton Allan (Louisville, Ohio/Louisville) assisted on the goal. Plunkard potted Grove City's fifth goal of the half at 22:08 while Platt closed the first-half scoring at 29:01. Sophomore forward Bethany Kuechly (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mars Hill) tallied an assist on Pratt's goal.

Stevenson opened the second half with a goal 9:29 into the period. White assisted Stevenson. Plunkard followed with an unassisted goal at 56:11. Wivell scored at 63:54 and Soley closed the scoring with her second goal at 80:40. Platt assisted each of the final two goals.

Grove City outshot the Mounties, 32-1. The Wolverines had 22 shots on goal while Mount Aloysius had one. Grove City also held a 4-1 edge in corner kicks.

Senior goalkeeper Maddie Mills (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna) played the first half and earned the win. Sophomore Ella Lotz (McKeesport, Pa./South Allegheny) made one save in a scoreless second half.

Stevenson now has 41 career goals, moving her into a tie for fourth place in program history. Emma Herrmann scored 41 combined goals in 2023 and 2024. 

Grove City will visit Carnegie Mellon at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in non-conference play.
