Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler) scored her third collegiate hat trick while senior forward
Hannah Plunkard (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock) added a goal Tuesday night as the Grove City College women's soccer team rallied for a 4-4 season-opening draw at non-conference rival Penn State Behrend.
Grove City trailed 4-2 in the second half before storming back. Stevenson cut the lead in half by scoring at 66:37. Sophomore forward
Emily Horst (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County) assisted the goal.
Stevenson then completed her hat trick with 5:08 remaining in the match after receiving an assist from junior forward
Kiara White (Perkiomenville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley).
Stevenson opened the scoring with an unassisted goal at the 11:06 mark. The lead swelled to 2-0 at 29:13 when Plunkard scored off a Stevenson assist.
Behrend's Sarah Kenst scored twice in a two-minute span of the first half to tie the match by halftime. Kenst broke the 2-2 tie with her third goal of the night at 54:05. Bri Ross doubled the lead with an unassisted goal 91 seconds later.
Grove City owned an 11-9 edge in shots on goal. Behrend outshot the Wolverines overall, 15-14. Behrend had six corner kicks and Grove City netted a pair of corners.

Maddie Mills (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna) stopped five shots for the Wolverines.
Stevenson jumped from ninth place into a tie for fifth place on Grove City's all-time goal list Tuesday night. She now has 37 goals, placing her in a tie with Hannah Yang (2006, 2008-10). Stevenson also moved into 10th place all-time at the College with 79 career points.
Grove City will open its home schedule Friday at 4 p.m. against Lycoming in non-conference play at Don Lyle Field.
