GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College track and field teams will send 24 athletes to the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships, which will be held Wednesday and Thursday at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa. Twelve members of the men's team have qualified, along with a dozen women's track and field athletes will compete in the two-day event.
Grove City will compete in all three relay events on the men's side. Senior
Alex Mitchell (Hummelstown, Pa./Harrisburg Christian), sophomore
Jeremiah Knowles (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata), sophomore
Brandon Kendrew (Harmony, Pa./Seneca Valley) and freshman
Joseph Brallier (Bedford, Pa./Bedford) will compete in the 4x100 relay after posting a season-best time of 42.53 seconds at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships.
Brallier and Knowles will also comprise one half of Grove City's 1600 relay team, which also includes senior
Isaac Busler (Butler, Pa./Butler) and sophomore
Eli Miller (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park). Grove City's top 4x400 relay time of 3:20.97 also came at the conference championships.

James Yoho (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge) and sophomore
Joshua Haley (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) will represent the Wolverines in the 3200 relay, an event not regularly held during the outdoor season.
Mitchell, Knowles and Brallier will also compete in the 400 meters. Mitchell posted a season-best time of 47.85 seconds while taking first at the conference championships. Knowles recorded a 49.09 at Slippery Rock University's John Papa Invitational April 16 while Brallier's season-best 400 time of 49.63 seconds came at the conference championships.
Senior
Luke Roberts (Post Falls, Idaho/Post Falls) will run the 10,000 meters after qualifying with a season-best time of 32:17.58 at the conference championships.
Three men will compete in field events for Grove City. Senior
Ethan Wiley (Mercer, Pa./Mercer) will throw the javelin, sophomore
Caleb Haley (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) will compete in the triple jump and freshman
Elijah Divito (Pittsburgh, Pa./Eden Christian) has qualified in the high and long jumps.
Wiley recorded a season-best throw of 185 feet, 2 inches April 24 at Allegheny College's Marty Goldberg Invitational.
Caleb Haley marked at 45 feet, 1 3/4 inches in the triple jump at the conference championships. Divito cleared 6-5 in the high jump April 11 at Westminster and also had his season-best long jump of 22-5 3/4 that day in New Wilmington.
Like the men's team, Grove City's women's squad will be entered in all three relay events. Sophomores
Lucy Gyergyo (Wexford, Pa./Eden Christian),
Nadine Lauffer (New Castle, Pa.),
Hannah Roegiers (Marion, N.Y./Marion Central) and
Kiara White (Perkiomenville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) will compete in the 400 relay. That foursome recorded a season-best time of 49.56 seconds April 11 at the Westminster Invitational.

Audrey Karwowski (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) and sophomore
Megan Marchand (Cumming, Ga./Forsyth Central) have qualified for the 1600 relay. Grove City's season-best time of 4:01.36 came April 24 at the Marty Goldberg Invitational.
Karwowski will be joined by junior
Annie Herrmann (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trail), junior
Cayla Lawrence (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) and sophomore
Julianna Lindberg (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) in the 4x800 relay.
White will run in both the 100- and 200-meter dashes. She ran a season-best time of 12.38 seconds in the 100-meter preliminaries at the Marty Goldberg Invitational. White recorded a 25.34 clocking April 11 in the 200 at Westminster.
Lauffer qualified for the 400 meters by posting a time of 57.54 seconds at the conference championships May 1. Meanwhile, Karwowski and Herrmann have both qualified in the 800. Karwowski recorded a career-best time of 2:13.46 at the conference championships while Herrmann recorded a season-best 800 time of 2:19.07 at Baldwin Wallace's Harrison Dillard Twilight meet last Friday night.
Lawrence and Lindberg will both compete in the 1500 after their season-best performances last week at Baldwin Wallace. Lawrence completed the 1500 in a season-best 4:38.79 while Lindberg finished in 4:46.50 at the Harrison Dillard Twilight.
Four Grove City athletes have qualified in field events. Gyergyo will compete in both the long and triple jumps. She posted a best long jump of 17-1 1/4 at Slippery Rock April 16 and marked at 36-4 in the triple jump five days earlier at Westminster.
Junior
Kendall Coddington (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) cleared 5-3 in the high jump April 16 at SRU, qualifying for the All-Atlantic Championships. Junior
Victoria Leak (Andover, N.H./Merrimack Valley) fired the javelin 116-3 at the Marty Goldberg Invitational, earning her berth in the All-Atlantic meet.
Meanwhile, sophomore
Hannah Herrmann (Hilton, N.Y./Paul V. Moore) will compete in the pole vault after clearing 11-7 3/4 at Slippery Rock University April 16.
The AARTFC Championships begin Wednesday at 12 p.m. Thursday's action starts at 10 a.m.
