GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's and women's indoor track and field teams will be well-represented Friday and Saturday at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships, which will be held at The Armory in New York, N.Y.
Twenty-one Grove City athletes will compete in this weekend's event. The women's team will send 11 competitors to New York while 10 members of the men's squad have qualified.
The women's team will be represented in each of the three jumping events, as well as the pole vault. Sophomore
Lucy Gyergyo (Wexford, Pa./Eden Christian) will compete in the triple jump after posting a school-record leap of 36 feet, 3 inches February 14 at SPIRE Indoor Games. Junior
Victoria Leak (Andover, N.H./Merrimack Valley) qualified in the long jump, having recorded a top mark of 17-11 1/2 at the Youngstown State Mid-Major Invitational in late January.

Kendall Coddington (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) cleared 5-3 in the high jump at SPIRE'S Midwest Open January 24, earning her invitation to the AARTFC meet. Sophomore
Hannah Herrmann (Hilton, N.Y./Paul V. Moore) qualified in the pole vault after setting a program record of 11-9 3/4 February 13 at Youngstown State.
Sophomore sprinter
Kiara White (Perkiomenville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) will compete in the 60- and 200-meter dashes. She posted a season-best time of 7.84 seconds in the 60 at last week's Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships. White posted a top time of 25.74 seconds in the 200 at Penn State February 7.
Sophomore
Nadine Lauffer (New Castle, Pa.) qualified in the 400 with a season-best time of 58.94 seconds last Thursday at the conference championships. She will join White, sophomore
Megan Marchand (Cumming, Ga./Forsyth Central) and senior
Audrey Karwowski (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) on Grove City's 1600-meter relay. That foursome won the conference title last week with a time of 4:03.24 at YSU.

Annie Herrmann (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trail) and sophomore
Julianna Lindberg (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) will comprise Grove City's distance medley relay. The quartet combined for a season-best time of 12:38.88 January 31 at Youngstown State.
All four DMR runners have also qualified in the 800 meters. Karwowski recorded a season-best time of 2:15.24 at the conference championships while Lawrence recorded a 2:19.74 clocking last week at the conference meet. Herrmann surpassed the AARTFC standard in the 800 at the conference meet with a time of 2:22.51 last week. Lindberg also qualified for this week's meet with her performance at the conference championships as she posted a time of 2:21.21 last week.
Freshman
Elijah Divito (Pittsburgh, Pa./Eden Christian) has qualified in both the long and high jumps on the men's side. He notched a season-best leap in the long jump of 22-10 December 6 at the season-opening Case Western Reserve Alumni Holiday Classic. Divito will also compete in the high jump after winning the event at the SPIRE Midwest Open with a school-record mark of 6-6 3/4.
Sophomore
Caleb Haley (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) will compete in the triple jump after setting a program record in that event February 21 in Warren, Ohio. Haley marked at 45-4 1/2, giving him possession of the school record.
Sophomore pole vaulter Will Britton (Westfield, Ind.) rounds out Grove City's field contingent. He cleared a Grove City-record 15 feet, 1 inch February 21 in Warren to earn his invitation to New York.

Alex Mitchell (Hummelstown, Pa./Harrisburg Christian) will race in the 400 meters after posting a season-best time of 48.34 seconds February 7 at Penn State.

Joseph Brallier (Bedford, Pa./Bedford) and sophomore
Jeremiah Knowles (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) are entered in the 4x200 relay. Knowles, Divito, Wilson and Mitchell qualified for the 800 relay January 17 at Case Western Reserve by recording a time of 1:32.40. Brallier is the alternate.

Isaac Busler (Butler, Pa./Butler) have qualified in the distance medley relay. Those four men combined for a qualifying time of 10:36.69 at the YSU Mid-Major Invitational.
The meet begins Friday at 11 a.m. Saturday's competition starts at 10 a.m.
