GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's and women's lacrosse teams both produced a pair of Presidents' Athletic Conference weekly honorees Monday afternoon after both teams went 2-0 in conference play last week.
On the men's side, senior goalie
Tyler Gladstone (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) earned Defensive Player of the Week and freshman midfielder
Mason Lyons (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) captured Newcomer of the Week.

Mia Gallagher (Mogadore, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban) earned Defensive Player of the Week in women's lacrosse while freshman midfielder
Avery Anderson (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) merited the Newcomer of the Week award.
Gladstone stopped 11 shots Saturday in an 18-7 victory at Chatham. Last Wednesday, he made six saves in 45 minutes in the Wolverines' 20-5 victory at Westminster. Five of his six stops came in the third quarter as Grove City broke open the game by outscoring the Titans, 6-1.
Gladstone is a 2-0 with a 6.29 goals-against average in conference play this season.
Lyons posted four-goal outings in each of the Wolverines' wins last week. Lyons scored four goals and assisted on a fifth goal Wednesday at Westminster. He then chalked up four goals and two assists Saturday at Chatham.
Lyons ranks second on the team with 14 goals. His seven assists and 21 points are both No. 4 on the squad this year. He leads the team's rookies in goals and points.
Gallagher made a career-high 12 saves Saturday afternoon in Grove City's 14-10 win at Westminster. Gallagher made five saves in the third quarter, including two on free position shots. She also made one save last Tuesday night in the Wolverines' 20-1 home win over Allegheny at Don Lyle Field.
Gallagher is 4-0 in conference play with a 5.50 GAA. Overall, she owns an 8-3 record, along with a 6.99 goals-against mark.
Anderson had three goals, three assists, four ground balls and three caused turnovers Tuesday against Allegheny. Saturday, she had two goals and an assist in the Wolverines' victory at Westminster. Anderson now has 15 goals and eight assists on the season. She leads Grove City's newcomers in both categories.
The men's lacrosse team will host Allegheny at 6 p.m. Wednesday in conference action. Meanwhile, the women's squad visits Chatham at 7 p.m. Wednesday in league play.
