PITTSBURGH -- The Grove City College men's track and field team opened its 2026 outdoor season Friday and Saturday by producing several notable finishes at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational, held at Gesling Stadium.
Freshman
Elijah Divito (Pittsburgh, Pa./Eden Christian) helped lead Grove City in the field events by posting a pair of runner-up finishes. Divito took second in the long jump with a best leap of 21 feet, 3/4 inch. He cleared 6-2 3/4 in the high jump to capture second place.Â

Jeremiah Knowles (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata), freshman
Joseph Brallier (Bedford, Pa./Bedford), senior
Isaac Busler (Butler, Pa./Butler) and senior
Alex Mitchell (Hummelstown, Pa./Harrisburg Christian) recorded the Wolverines' top finish on the track as that foursome earned second place with a time of 3 minutes, 23.30 seconds.Â
Knowles, Brallier, Divito and senior
Greg Wilson (Akron, Ohio/Revere) teamed for a third-place finish in the 4x100 relay with a time of 43.09 seconds. Mitchell recorded Grove City's top individual track finish as he took third in the 400 meters with a time of 48.50 seconds. Mitchell finished first among Division III entrants in the 400.Â
Senior
Michael Chambers (Bridgeville, Pa./Canon-McMillan) earned fifth in the pole vault by clearing 13 feet, 5 inches. Knowles earned sixth place in the 400 (49.76) while freshman
Joe McKelvey (Windber, Pa./Windber) placed sixth in the 3000 with a time of 9:39.97.Â
Senior
Tucker Owens (Gainesville, N.Y./Letchworth) and freshman
Aaron Peterson (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) tied for seventh in the pole vault by both clearing 13-5. Brallier added a ninth-place finish in the 400 (51.13) while sophomore
Caleb Haley (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) took ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 42-4 1/4.
The Wolverines return to action Saturday, April 11 at the Westminster Invitational in New Wilmington.
