YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Grove City College men's track and field team produced a pair of event winners and the Most Valuable Performer in field events Thursday night at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Indoor Championships, held at Youngstown State University's Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS).
Those performances helped Grove City place second in the team standings with 94 points. Geneva won the event with 113 points.
Senior
Alex Mitchell (Hummelstown, Pa./Harrisburg Christian) won the 400 meters in a time of 48.45 seconds while sophomore
Caleb Haley (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) captured the triple jump with a best leap of 44 feet, 4 3/4 inches.
Meanwhile, freshman
Elijah Divito (Pittsburgh, Pa./Eden Christian) earned the conference's Field MVP award after his performances in the long, triple and high jumps. Divito took second in the long jump with a best leap of 22-9 1/4 and then finished third in the triple jump (43-4 1/4). He then cleared 6-6 1/4 to finish fourth in the high jump.

Brandon Kendrew (Harmony, Pa./Seneca Valley) earned third in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.73 seconds. Freshman
Colsen Frank (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) finished fourth in the 3000 meters with a time of 9:02.96. Senior
Tucker Owens (Gainesville, N.Y./Letchworth) led Grove City's quartet of scorers in the pole vault by taking fourth. Owens cleared 14-5 1/4.
Sophomore Will Britton (Westfield, Ind.) took fifth in the pole vault as he also cleared 14-5 1/4. Senior
Isaac Busler (Butler, Pa./Butler) took fifth in the 800 (1:59.16) and also anchored Grove City's fifth-place 1600-meter relay. Busler, sophomore

Greg Wilson (Akron, Ohio/Revere) combined for a time of 3:24.77.
Frank also finished sixth in the mile (4:27.59). Senior
Luke Roberts (Post Falls, Idaho/Post Falls) earned sixth place both in the 3000 (9:05.68) and in the 5000 (15:29.88). Freshman
Adam Frankhauser (Irwin, Pa./Hempfield) claimed sixth in the 60 hurdles (8.99) and senior
Michael Chambers (Bridgeville, Pa./Canon-McMillan) took sixth in the pole vault with a top height of 13-11 1/4.
Knowles secured seventh place in the 400 (49.72) while Haley took seventh in the long jump with a top mark of 21 feet. Junior
Johnny Ruggles (Austintown, Ohio/Fitch) earned eighth in the triple jump (40-6) and freshman
Aaron Peterson (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) cleared 13-5 1/4 to take eighth in the pole vault.
This is the seventh straight season in which Grove City has finished among the top three in the conference at the indoor championships. Grove CIty won the title in 2024 and 2025 and also had a runner-up finish in 2020.
Several Grove City athletes have qualified for the All-Atlantic Region Championships, which will be held March 6-7 in New York City.
