GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's and men's swimming and diving teams swept the final Presidents' Athletic Conference weekly awards for the 2025-26 season Monday afternoon. Freshman
Abigail Vance (Butler, Pa./Butler) repeated as the conference's Women's Swimmer of the Week while classmate
Mollie Massella (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock) captured Newcomer of the Week in women's swimming and diving.
On the men's side, senior
Caleb Einolf (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) earned Swimmer of the Week and freshman
George Witte (Columbia, S.C./Covenant Classical Christian) secured Newcomer of the Week.
Vance captured four individual wins last week in the Wolverines' final two dual meets of the season. Thursday against conference rival Westminster, Vance recorded a winning time of 1 minute, 59.51 seconds in the 200 free and a time of 5:26.33 in the 500. Two days later, Vance won the 200 breaststroke (2:24.17) and 200 individual medley (2:11.16) at PennWest Clarion. Her 200 breaststroke time now ranks third in program history. That time also ranks first this year in the conference.
Massella swept the butterfly Saturday at PennWest Clarion. She won the 100 in 58.99 seconds and then won the 200 butterfly in 2:07.52. Both times rank first in the conference this year. Massella also won the 200 fly against Westminster Thursday (2:13.92). Her time at PennWest Clarion now ranks sixth in program history in the 200 fly.
Massella previously earned Newcomer of the Week distinction October 21 and November 17. Vance earned Swimmer of the Week four times this winter and added a Newcomer of the Week honor December 8.
Einolf won the 100 breaststroke and 100 butterfly Saturday at PennWest Clarion, setting a pool record in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 56.74 seconds. He won the 100 fly in 50.35 and also contributed to two relay wins. The 200 free relay won in a pool-record time of 1:24.92 and the meet-opening 200 medley relay recorded a time of 1:33.27.
Thursday against Westminster, Einolf won the 100 butterfly in 50.21 seconds and helped the 200 medley relay to a winning time of 1:36.02.
Witte contributed to two relay wins Saturday at PennWest Clarion. Grove City won the 200 free relay in a pool-record time of 1:24.92 and also took the 200 medley relay in 1:33.27. He also took second in the 200 free (1:43.25) and 200 backstroke (2:02.42) against the Golden Eagles.
Einolf earned Swimmer of the Week five times this season while Witte is a seven-time Newcomer of the Week.Â
The Grove City swimming and diving teams will host the conference championships February 18-21 in James E. Longnecker Pool.
