CLARION, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team set two PennWest Clarion pool records Saturday afternoon as the visiting Wolverines closed their 2025-26 dual meet schedule with a 172-126 setback to Division II PennWest Clarion at Tippin Natatorium.
Grove City closed the meet with a facility-record time of 1 minute, 24.92 seconds in the 200 free relay. Junior
Owen Hancock (Brunswick, Ohio/Westside Christian), sophomore
Ryan Turner (Fombell, Pa./Riverside), freshman
George Witte (Columbia, S.C./Covenant Classical Christian) and senior
Caleb Einolf (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) combined for the victory.
Einolf also set a pool record in the 100 breaststroke as he won the event in 56.74 seconds. He added a victory in the 100 butterfly (50.35).
Hancock won the 100 backstroke (53.41) while senior
Logan Myers (Middleburg, Fla./Homeschooled) won the 200 butterfly in a time of 2:01.62. Sophomore
Aidan McCarthy (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville) won the 500 (4:59.00) and junior
Andrew Buxbaum (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) prevailed in the 200 breaststroke.
Hancock, Buxbaum, Einolf and Witte opened Saturday's meet by winning the 200 medley relay in 1:33.27.
Grove City will host the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships February 18-21 at James E. Longnecker Pool.
