GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Two Grove City College athletes earned Presidents' Athletic Conference weekly recognition Tuesday afternoon after their respective performance last weekend.

Alex Mitchell (Hummelstown, Pa./Harrisburg Christian) is this week's Men's Track Athlete of the Week in indoor track while sophomore
Keith Otto (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford) captured Defensive Player of the Week distinction in men's volleyball.
Mitchell won the 400 and 500 last weekend at the Youngstown State Mid-Major Invitational. He won the 400 in a time of 48.44 seconds, which is the top time in both the conference and the Mid-Atlantic Region. Mitchell then recorded a winning time of 64.26 seconds in the 500.
Mitchell also took 10th place in the 200 (22.34). This is Mitchell's third consecutive Track Athlete of the Week award.
Otto averaged 3.67 digs per set last week as Grove City swept three matches at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference-Presidents' Athletic Conference Crossover at Penn State Behrend.
Otto opened the weekend with 10 digs in Friday's win over Penn State Behrend on Friday, then recorded a season-high 12 digs against Penn State Altoona the next afternoon. He wrapped up the weekend by tallying 11 digs in a 3-0 triumph over Hilbert.
The men's track and field team will compete Saturday at Penn State. Meanwhile, the men's volleyball team will host Mount Aloysius, Olivet and Randolph this Friday and Saturday at the Grove City Invitational.
