GENEVA, Ohio -- The Grove City College men's track and field team competed in two indoor Ohio meets this weekend as the Wolverines prepare for the upcoming Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships. Friday, the Wolverines competed at Youngstown State's Last Chance Meet. Saturday, Grove City participated in the SPIRE Institute College Games.
Sophomore
Caleb Haley (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) posted Grove City's top finish at SPIRE as he earned runner-up in the triple jump. Haley posted a season-best leap of 43 feet, 1 1/2 inches.
Freshman
Elijah Divito (Pittsburgh, Pa./Eden Christian) added a sixth-place finish in the high jump by clearing 6-2 3/4.
Senior
Luke Roberts (Post Falls, Idaho/Post Falls) led Grove City on the track by finishing sixth in the 5000 meters. Roberts posted a time of 15 minutes, 40.83 seconds.
Sophomore
Brandon Kendrew (Harmony, Pa./Seneca Valley) earned seventh in the 60 hurdles (9.01) while senior
Jacob Colbert (Sagamore Hills, Ohio/Nordonia) took eighth in the 5000 with a time of 15:44.96. Freshman
Adam Frankhauser (Irwin, Pa./Hempfield) took 10th in the 60 hurdles (9.29).
Sophomore Will Britton (Westfield, Ind./Westfield) led the Wolverines at Youngstown State by finishing third in the unseeded pole vault. Britton cleared 13 feet, 9 1/4 inches.
Grove City will return to action Friday at the Mount Union Tune-Up in Alliance, Ohio.
