LATROBE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's golf team placed third out of nine teams Monday at the Saint Vincent Fall Invitational, held at Latrobe Country Club. The Wolverines recorded a team total of 327. Pitt-Bradford won the tournament with a 308 total.
Sophomore
Luke Gronbeck (Gibsonia, Pa./Eden Christian) led the Wolverines by shooting 75. Gronbeck placed third overall in the 54-golfer field.
Sophomore
Seth Hartman (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) took 18th with an 82 while junior
Nathan Young (Street, Ohio/Homeschooled) finished 24th with an 84. Junior
Tyler Derstein (Telford, Pa./Dock Mennonite) carded an 86, good for 30th.
Senior
Cayden Testa (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) rounded out the lineup by placing 47th with a round of 91.
Two Grove City performers competed as individuals. Senior
Jonah Kozora (Mars, Pa./Mars) finished 11th with a 79. Fellow senior
Michael Astrab (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) tied Hartman for 18th with an 82.
Westminster's Tyler Hager won a playoff to claim medalist honors. He shot 74.
Grove City returns to action September 21-22 at the Allegheny Invitational.
