STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -- Grove City College sophomore golfer
Luke Gronbeck (Gibsonia, Pa./Eden Christian) earned medalist status Saturday afternoon at the Franciscan University Invitational. Gronbeck shot an even-par 72 at Steubenville Country Club to take the top spot in the 40-man field.
Gronbeck helped Grove City place fifth in the tightly-bunched field with a team score of 315. Marietta won the event with a 303, followed by Saint Vincent (311), Washington & Jefferson (312) and Muskingum (313).

Nathan Young (Street, Md./Homeschooled) placed 12th with a 79. Junior
Tyler Derstein (Telford, Pa./Dock Mennonite) and sophomore
Seth Hartman (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) tied for 22nd as each man shot 82. Senior
Jonah Kozora (Mars, Pa./Mars) finished 29th with an 84.
Senior
Cayden Testa (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) competed as an individual for the Wolverines. He carded a 95, good for 38th place.Â
Monday afternoon, Grove City will host its annual Fall Invitational at Grove City Country Club. The event begins at 1 p.m.
