GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Grove City College women's cross country team will feature several new faces in its 2025 lineup as the Wolverines prepare for the fall season in the increasingly rugged Presidents' Athletic Conference.
"Youth" will be a key watchword for the Wolverines as two seniors and three juniors will help lead the way this fall.
Senior
Sydney Anderson (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) will contend for a full-time spot in the scoring lineup this fall, her fourth season with the program. She closed her junior season by finishing 95th at the 2024 conference championships.
Classmate
Audrey Karwowski (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) earned All-PAC honors in each of her first two seasons at Grove City. She earned Honorable Mention as a freshman in 2022, then claimed Second Team All-PAC distinction in 2023. A two-year letterwinner, Karwowski will join Anderson in helping lead the way in 2025.
Second-year head coach
Paul Collier also welcomes back a trio of juniors:
Alayna Bishop (Grove City, Pa./Grove City),
Mia Clutter (Blairsville, Pa./River Valley) and
Annie Herrmann (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trail). All three runners are two-year letterwinners who are competing for full-time spots in the top seven this autumn.
Bishop competed in four events last year and capped her sophomore season by finishing 70th at the conference meet. Clutter followed closely in 74th after running in three events in 2024.
Herrmann competed in five events as a sophomore, capped by finishing 65th at the conference meet. Like her two classmates, Herrmann aims to move up in the scoring lineup.
Sophomore
Julianna Lindberg (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) joins Karwowski as returning All-PAC performers. Lindberg took 19th at the 2024 conference meet, earning Honorable Mention distinction. Lindberg will likely be at or near the top of the scoring lineup this fall.
Grove City also welcomes back second-year veterans
Maggie Mollenauer (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills),
Abigail Nelson (Cheverly, Md.) and
Sarah Sabella (Grand Valley, Pa./Grove City). All three performers will challenge for a place in the scoring lineup this fall.
The Wolverines will also be bolstered by five newcomers.
Grove City opens the season Thursday, September 4 at the West Liberty Invitational in Bethany, W.Va. The conference championships will be November 1 in Meadville, Pa.
