Leslie, Bevin earn All-America

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- D3baseball.com recognized two Grove City College baseball players Wednesday afternoon as Division III All-Americans in recognition of their respective performances during the 2025 season. Senior pitcher David Leslie (Butler, Pa./Butler) and sophomore third baseman-pitcher Sam Bevin (Louisville, Ky./Wake County) both earned Fourth Team All-America honors. It is the first All-America honor for each player.

Leslie went 9-2 with a 2.05 earned run average in 12 starts this spring. He struck out 84 batters in 74 2/3 innings while yielding only 46 hits and 24 walks. Leslie held opponents to a .178 batting average. He led the Presidents' Athletic Conference in wins, strikeouts and batting average against while ranking third in ERA.

Leslie's 201 career strikeouts rank fourth in program history while his .772 winning percentage (17-5) is the third-highest mark in program history. His nine wins this season are tied for No. 2 on Grove City's single-season leaderboard.

Bevin hit .370 this season and led the Wolverines with seven home runs. He shared the team and league lead with 67 hits while driving in 43 runs. His 50 runs scored ranked third on the team. As a pitcher, Bevin compiled a 4-1 record, along with a 1.87 ERA. He allowed only 41 hits and six walks in 43 1/3 innings while striking out 29 men this year.

Leslie and Bevin both earned First Team All-Conference recognition. Tuesday, D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) selected both men as All-Region VII performers. Bevin previously earned consensus All-Region recognition as a utility player in 2024.

The ABCA Division III All-America teams will be announced Thursday at the NCAA Division III World Series in Eastlake, Ohio.

Grove City finished 31-13 overall and set a single-season program record for victories. The Wolverines won their first conference title since 2008 and advanced to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament for the first time in 17 years.
