CANONSBURG, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's golf team placed fifth Monday afternoon at the Washington & Jefferson Peter C. Rossin Memorial Invitational, held at Southpointe Golf Club. Grove City finished with a cumulative team score of 417. Host W&J won the tournament with a 359 while Division II Seton Hill finished second with a 369 total.
Sophomore
Lauren Kardos (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) posted Grove City's top finish as she finished sixth with a 91. Junior Hailey Muñoz (Sparta, N.J./Morris Catholic) tied for 15th with a 98 while classmate
Rebekah Gaehring (Hawthorne, N.J./Hawthorne) took 23rd place by shooting 107.
Sophomore
Madylin Galbreath (Ellwood City, Pa./Ellwood City) placed 28th with a 121 and junior
Julianna Jacobs (Conneaut Lake, Pa./Conneaut) finished 31st with a round of 129.
The tournament featured seven teams and 38 golfers. W&J's Megan Joyce finished atop the leaderboard with an 83.
Grove City will compete in the Westminster Invitational in New Castle this Saturday afternoon.
