BOARDMAN, Ohio -- The Grove City College women's golf team opened the 2025-26 season Monday afternoon by placing third at the six-team Youngstown State Kickoff, held at Mill Creek Golf Course. Grove City finished with a team score of 378. Host YSU won the event with a 292 total.

Lauren Kardos (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) led the Wolverines by shooting an 89, good for 13th place. Sophomore
Sydney Goettel (Churchville, N.Y./Churchville-Chili) placed 18th with a 91 while senior Hailey Muñoz (Sparta, N.J./Morris Catholic) fired a 93 to take 19th place.

Rebekah Gaehring (Hawthorne, N.J./Hawthorne) placed 27th with a 103. Sophomore
Gabrielle Kinneer (Mount Pleasant, Pa./Mount Pleasant) rounded out the lineup by shooting 116. She placed 33rd.
Sophomore
Alyssa Shaw (Carlisle, Pa./West Shore Christian) competed as an individual. Shaw shot 114, tying for 31st place.
Youngstown State's Neeranuch Prajunpanich earned medalist with a round of 64 on the par-72 course. Thirty-four women competed in Monday's event.
Grove City returns to action Saturday at the Thiel Invitational in Hermitage.
