NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's track and field team captured three victories Saturday at the unscored Westminster Invitational, held at Memorial Field.
Freshman
Kiara White (Perkiomenville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) won the 100-meter dash in a Grove City-record time of 12.22 seconds. She also joined senior
Carolyn Colteryahn (Essex, Vt./Essex), freshman
Nadine Lauffer (New Castle, Pa.) and junior
Rebecca Vezzosi (Harpers Ferry, W.Va./Leonardtown, Md.) on Grove City's victorious 400-meter relay squad. That foursome posted a winning time of 49.73 seconds.
Sophomore
Elly Bruner (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) won the high jump by clearing 5 feet, 3 1/4 inches.
White also took second in the 200 meters with a time of 25.66 seconds. She finished first among Division III sprinters in the event.
Lauffer captured second in the 400 with a time of 59.83 seconds. Sophomore
Cayla Lawrence (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) recorded a pair of runner-up finishes in middle-distance events. Lawrence took second in the 800 with a time of 2:18.84, then posted a runner-up time of 4:50.65 in the 1500. She finished as the top Division III entrant in each race.
Freshman
Julianna Lindberg (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) placed third in the 800 (2:19.16), one spot ahead of senior
Kaylynn Johnson (Otisfield, Maine/Oxford Hills). Johnson finished fourth in the 800 with a time of 2:19.72. Lauffer, meanwhile, captured fourth in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:08.11.
Freshman
Megan Marchand (Cumming, Ga./Forsyth Central) took fourth in the 400 (1:02.46). She joined freshman
Hannah Roegiers (Marion, N.Y./Marion Central), sophomore
Mia Clutter (Blairsville, Pa./River Valley) and sophomore
Annie Herrmann (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trail) on the Wolverines' fifth-place 1600 relay squad. That quartet recorded a time of 4:18.26.
Senior
Danika Sudar (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley) finished seventh in the hammer throw with a top toss of 138-10. Sudar finished first among Division III competitors in the hammer throw. Senior
Julia Bauer (Pittsburgh, Pa./Woodland Hills) took seventh in the 1500 (5:00.80). Sophomore
Kendall Coddington (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) finished eighth in the high jump by clearing 4-9.
Grove City will host its annual Mini-Invitational Wednesday at Robert E. Thorn Field.
