BEALLSVILLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's golf team placed sixth Monday at the Waynesburg University Fall Invitational, held at Nemacolin Country Club. Grove City finished the tournament with a team score of 323. Baldwin Wallace won the seven-team event with a 296 team total.
Sophomore
Luke Gronbeck (Gibsonia, Pa./Eden Christian) fired a 73 to place third overall. Senior
Michael Astrab (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) took 24th with an 82 while junior
Tyler Derstein (Telford, Pa./Dock Mennonite) followed in 26th by carding an 83.
Junior
Nathan Young (Street, Md./Homeschooled) placed 30th with 85 and senior
Jonah Kozora (Mars, Pa./Mars) rounded out the lineup with an 86, good for 33rd place.
Baldwin Wallace's Anthony Asta earned medalist with a 68 on the par 72 course. Forty men competed in Monday's tournament.
Grove City will compete in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Fall Championships October 13-14 at Avalon Lakes in Warren, Ohio.
