MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's golf team placed fifth out of 11 teams at the two-day Allegheny College Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational, which concluded Monday at Meadville Country Club. Grove City finished with a 36-hole team score of 612, including a 301 Monday. Host Allegheny won the event with a 568.

Adam Steinmetz (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) posted Grove City's low score at the tournament by shooting 151 (77-74). He placed 13th overall. Freshman
Luke Gronbeck (Gibsonia, Pa./Eden Christian) took 19th with a 153 (75-78).Â

Aidan Allen (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington Central) shot Grove City's low score Monday with a 73. He finished 22nd overall with a 156. Junior
Brian McDonnell (Seven Fields, Pa./Eden Christian) took 27th with a 158 (82-76).Â
Freshman
Seth Hartman (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) rounded out the lineup with a two-day score of 166 (77-89). He placed 42nd.Â
Allegheny's Zachary Melzar earned medalist with a 5-under score of 139. Fifty-three men competed in the event.Â
Grove City returns to action next Monday at the Waynesburg University Invitational.Â
