BETHANY, W.Va. -- The Grove City College men's cross country team placed fifth overall Saturday at the nine-team Bethany College Invitational. Grove City finished with 137 team points, the top mark among Division III programs at the event. Division II programs West Liberty and Gannon each had 45 team points.
Junior
Luke Roberts (Post Falls, Idaho/Post Falls) paced Grove City by posting a time of 28 minutes, 30.3 seconds. He placed 21st overall and first among Division III runners at Saturday's meet.
Junior
Michael Singley (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita) took 26th in 29:19.6 while freshman
Bayley Herman (Rush, N.Y./Rush Henrietta) earned 27th place with a time of 29:20.4. Junior
Jacob Colbert (Sagamore Hills, Ohio/Nordonia) captured 29th after recording a time of 29:26.5.
Sophomore
Max Ware (Winchester, Va./Handley) took 36th (29:42.8), one spot ahead of sophomore
Eli Miller (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park). Miller secured 37th place with a time of 29:43.9.
Senior
Ben Raduns (Farmington, N.Y./Victor) rounded out the lineup with a time of 29:58.5, placing him 43rd in the field.
Lawrence Tech senior Hunter Assenmacher won the individual race with a time of 26:05.1. One-hundred men competed in the race.
Grove City will compete in the Lock Haven Invitational in two weeks, September 28.
