MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Four Grove City College men's cross country runners captured All-Presidents' Athletic Conference honors Saturday at the conference championships, helping the Wolverines take second in the 12-team field with 71 team points. Geneva finished with a meet-low 38 points at the championship event, hosted by Allegheny College.
Freshman
Colsen Frank (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) and senior
Michael Singley (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita) both earned First Team All-PAC by virtue of their respective individual finishes. Frank finished fourth by posting a time of 27 minutes, 18.50 seconds on the eight-kilometer course. Meanwhile, Singley seized seventh place with a time of 27:30.60.
Senior
Caleb Hawke (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) and freshman
Tyler Davis (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) merited Honorable Mention All-PAC status. Hawke took 18th overall with a time of 28:26.10 while Davis recorded a 20th-place time of 28:33.60.
Two Grove City runners joined those four in the top 25. Freshman
Sam Elston (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) earned 24th place with a time of 29:01.10. Meanwhile, classmate
Kaiden Williams (Bellefonte, Pa./Bellefonte) crossed in 25th place (29:05.80).
Senior
Jacob Colbert (Sagamore Hills, Ohio/Nordonia) rounded out the Grove City lineup by finishing in 28th place. Colbert recorded a time of 29:13.80.
Washington & Jefferson's Dom Flitcraft won the individual race with a time of 26:51.60. One-hundred men finished the race.Â
This is Grove City's best conference finish since winning the conference title in 2017.
Grove City will host its annual Twilight 5K next Friday night at Thorn Field. The Wolverines close the season November 15 at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Championships in Newville, Pa.
