BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's cross country team returned to action Friday afternoon by competing in the White 8K at Lehigh University's Paul Short Run. Grove City finished 34th in the 45-team field with 950 team points. National power New York University won the event with 54 points.
Freshman
Colsen Frank (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) led Grove City by taking 82nd place overall. Frank covered the 8,000-meter course in 25 minutes, 37.1 seconds.
Senior
Luke Roberts (Post Falls, Idaho/Post Falls) placed 161st in a time of 26:18.8 while fellow senior
Caleb Hawke (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) took 265th in 27:01.5. Senior
Michael Singley (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita) finished in 275th (27:09.5) and freshman
Tyler Davis (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) took 278th in 27:12.0.
Junior
James Yoho (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge) finished 333rd (27:47.8). Senior
Jacob Colbert (Sagamore Hills, Ohio/Nordonia) rounded out the scoring lineup with a time of 27:59.3, good for 354th.
The race featured 422 men. Colorado College's Will Shuflit won the race with a time of 24:04.9.
Grove City will host its annual Alumni 5K Friday night at Robert E. Thorn Field as part of Homecoming Weekend.
