MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Freshman
Colsen Frank (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) and senior
Luke Roberts (Post Falls, Idaho/Post Falls) both recorded top-10 finishes Saturday morning to help the Grove City College men's cross country team take fourth out of 18 teams at Allegheny College's Ben Mourer Memorial Classic.
Grove City finished the meet with 97 points. Baldwin Wallace won the meet with 52 points. Geneva and Slippery Rock tied for second with 95 points while Denison claimed fifth with 98 points. Saint Francis placed sixth with a team score of 100.
Frank captured fifth place overall by recording a time of 27 minutes, 24 seconds. Roberts followed seven seconds later, earning seventh place with a time of 27:31.Â
Senior
Michael Singley (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita) crossed in 23rd place with a time of 28:16 while freshman
Kaiden Williams (Bellefonte, Pa./Bellefonte) finished 34th (28:33).
Freshman
Tyler Davis (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) secured 38th place with a 28:37 clocking. Senior
Caleb Hawke (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) took 53rd place (29:05) and junior
Eli Miller (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) rounded out the lineup with a time of 29:23, which placed him 68th overall.
The race featured 186 men. Saint Francis freshman Carlos Cheruiyot won the race in 27:01.
Grove City will compete October 3 in Lehigh University's Paul Short Run.
