WHEELING, W.Va. -- The Grove City College men's golf team placed fourth out of eight teams Tuesday afternoon at the Bethany Invitational, held at Oglebay. The Wolverines recorded a team score of 330. Pitt-Greensburg won the event with a 320 team score.
Sophomore
Tyler Derstein (Telford, Pa./Dock Mennonite) led Grove City by placing third overall with a 76. He competed as an individual.
Senior
Adam Steinmetz (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) posted the lineup's top score by carding a 79, good for seventh place. Freshman
Luke Gronbeck (Gibsonia, Pa./Eden Christian) placed 11th with an 81 while junior
Cayden Testa (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) and senior
Max Vaughn (Lakewood, N.Y./Southwestern) tied 21st by each shooting 85.
Junior
Jonah Kozora (Mars, Pa./Mars) rounded out the lineup with an 88, placing him in 31st. Sophomore
Nathan Young (Street, Md./Homeschooled) competed as an individual and tied for 21st place with an 85.
Grove City returns to action next Monday at the Saint Vincent Invitational in Latrobe.
