GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Grove City College junior center fielder David Chandler (Leesburg, Va./St. John's) recently earned a spot on the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Division III Region VII All-Defensive Team in recognition of his performance in the field during the 2026 season.

Chandler posted a 1.000 fielding percentage in the outfield this season, his first year as a full-time starter. Chandler began the season in left field but then moved to center field after an injury to 2025 All-Region defender Nick Sampson (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township). Chandler recorded 92 putouts and one assist without committing an error in 40 starts.

Chandler earned First Team All-Presidents' Athletic Conference this season after hitting .394 and scoring a team-leading 50 runs. He also led Grove City with eight stolen bases and a .520 on-base percentage while his 63 hits ranked second on the team. 

Grove City finished 22-18 and advanced to the conference tournament championship round in 2026.
