GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Presidents' Athletic Conference's head baseball coaches honored four Grove City College players as All-Conference selections, as announced Wednesday evening.
Senior first baseman
Colin Marinpetro (Imperial, Pa./West Allegheny) and junior center fielder
David Chandler (Leesburg, Va./St. John's) earned First Team All-PAC distinction. Junior right fielder
Caleb Backos (Troy, Mich./Bloomfield Christian) and freshman third baseman
Nick Remish (Norristown, Pa./Methacton) both merited Honorable Mention All-Conference.
Marinpetro led Grove City with a .400 batting average and a .612 slugging percentage this season. He recorded a team-leading 66 hits, 17 doubles and 46 runs batted in while also belting six home runs and scoring 46 runs. Marinpetro's 66 hits are one shy of the single-season Grove City record he set in 2025. He led the conference in hits while finishing fourth in the league batting race.
Additionally, Marinpetro also walked 30 times and fanned only nine times in 202 plate appearances. His .404 career batting average ranks third in program history.
This is Marinpetro's second straight First Team All-PAC selection. He also earned the conference's Player of the Year and All-Region honors in 2025 after helping lead the Wolverines to a conference title.
Chandler broke out in 2026, his first year as a starter. He hit .394 and scored a team-leading 50 runs. Chandler also led Grove City with eight stolen bases and 33 walks. His .520 on-base percentage also led the squad. Chandler finished second on the team to Marinpetro in hits, as he collected 63 in his 40 starts. The 63 hits are seventh-most in one season at Grove City and fourth in the conference. Chandler also finished fourth in the conference in runs scored and second in on-base percentage.
Chandler recorded 19 multi-hit games this year, tied with Marinpetro for tops on the squad. He closed the season by reaching base safely in each of the final 18 games.
Like Chandler, Backos took over as a full-time starter in the Wolverine outfield after playing as a reserve in his first two seasons. Backos hit .333 this spring while producing a dozen doubles, a team-leading four triples and two home runs. Backos also knocked in 33 runs and finished second on the team with seven stolen bases.
Backos had 16 multi-hit games this season. His 77 total bases ranked second on the squad while his 36 runs scored were the No. 3 mark. Backos played in 38 games, making 37 starts in the corner outfield positions.
Remish emerged as one of the conference's top newcomers this season while taking over as Grove City's primary starting third baseman. Remish launched a team-leading seven home runs and finished second on the team with 43 runs batted in. He led all conference rookies in both categories.
Remish hit .300 in 37 starts. He also saw time at second base during the 2026 season.
Additionally, the conference honored senior outfielder
Trey Wagner (Mars, Pa./Mars) as a member of its Sportsmanship Team.
The Wolverines (22-18) advanced to the finals of the conference tournament, which concluded last Saturday. That marked Grove City's third straight title game appearance.
