GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's swimming and diving team earned five victories Friday night at the 2026 Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by the College in James E. Longnecker Pool. The five victories helped Grove City maintain its lead in the team standings at the four-day event, which concludes Saturday.
Grove City has accumulated 764 team points through the first five sessions of the Championships. Saint Vincent is second with 411 points and Westminster owns third with 318 points.
Grove City closed Friday night's session with a victory in the 200 free relay. Senior
Sadie Shofestall (Brookville, Pa./Brookville), junior
Ashley Rauhauser (York, Pa./Homeschooled), sophomore
Ellie Webster (Westfield, Ind./Westfield) and freshman
Abby Tweed (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) combined for a winning time of 1 minute, 37.05 seconds.Â
Tweed also won the 200 freestyle in a time of 1:56.17. She led a 1-2-3-4-5 Grove City sweep in the 200 free. Freshman
Cora Plank (Slippery Rock, Pa./Portersville Christian) took second in 1:57.49 while Webster followed in third place (1:57.78). Shofestall earned fourth in a time of 1:58.93 and sophomore
Freja Kile (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) captured fifth in a time of 1:59.73.
Grove City also took the top three spots in the 100 backstroke. Freshman
Mikayla Little (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) won the event in 59.48 seconds, edging Rauhauser by .35 seconds. Freshman
Katie Quinn (Edinboro, Pa./General McLane) finished third with a time of 60.45 seconds.Â

Abigail Vance (Butler, Pa./Butler) earned first in the 400 individual medley (4:37.23) while twin sister
Addison Vance (Butler, Pa./Butler) took second in a time of 4:39.29.Â
Sophomore
Hadleigh McNay (Tucker, Ga./Tucker) captured the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.01.Â
Freshman
Mary Anne Altman (Sarver, Pa./Freeport) took runner-up in the 100 butterfly (60.84). Classmate
Mollie Massella (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock) finished fourth in 61.37 seconds while sophomore
Aubrey Schroeder (Mount Airy, Md./South Carroll) captured fifth in the 100 butterfly (1:02.21).
Senior
Sarah Janicki (Denver, Colo./Austin Waldorf) finished fourth in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.07) and sophomore
Pippin Lochstet (Ambler, Pa./Upper Dublin) took fourth in the 400 IM (4:56.52).
Saturday's preliminaries begin at 10 a.m. The finals will start at 5 p.m.
