GROVE CITY, Pa. -- College Sports Communicators (CSC) selected Grove City College senior linebacker
Caleb Brubaker (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) as a Division III Second Team Academic All-American Tuesday afternoon in recognition of his performance on the field and in the classroom.
A D3football.com and Associated Press Division III All-America selection in 2025, Brubaker led Grove City with 7.5 sacks, 16 tackles for loss and 95 total tackles this fall. He led the Presidents' Athletic Conference in sacks and tackles for loss. Brubaker highlighted the regular season November 8 by posting 15 tackles, two sacks, three tackles for loss and a fourth-quarter interception in a 28-14 victory at Case Western Reserve.Â
A two-year starter for the Wolverines, Brubaker shared the team lead as a junior by intercepting five passes. He tallied a team-high 74 tackles in 2024.Â
Brubaker earned First Team All-America from D3football.com while Associated Press named him to its Third Team All-America squad. Brubaker also earned D3football.com First Team All-Region 2 and First Team All-Presidents' Athletic Conference this season.
Brubaker earned a 3.58 cumulative grade-point average while majoring in biology. He completed his degree at the end of the fall 2025 semester.Â
The Wolverines went 8-3 this year and made their third straight appearance in the NCAA Division III playoffs.
Grove City has produced at least one Academic All-American in each of the last 24 years. Brubaker is the 13th Grove City football player to be selected as an Academic All-American.
The 2025-26 academic year marks the 15th year that CSC (formerly CoSIDA, College Sports Information Directors of America) has based its Academic All-America program on individual divisions within college athletics. Currently, CSC honors student-athletes in NCAA Divisions I, II and III, along with a "College" division that includes NAIA institutions and junior colleges.
A student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.50 or higher cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or significant reserve to be nominated for the Academic All-America program.
