GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Associated Press named two Grove City College football players to its 2025 Division III All-America squad Thursday afternoon as senior linebacker
Caleb Brubaker (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) and sophomore cornerback
Noah Wheeler (McKinney, Texas/McKinney Christian) both earned Third Team All-America honors.
Brubaker led the Wolverines with 95 tackles, 7.5 sacks and 16 tackles for loss. He led the Presidents' Athletic Conference in both sacks and tackles for loss this fall. Brubaker highlighted the regular season November 8 by posting 15 tackles, two sacks, an interception and three tackles for loss in a 28-14 victory at Case Western Reserve.Â
He shared the team lead in 2024 by intercepting five passes. He also led Grove City with 74 tackles last year.Â
Wheeler started 10 games this season and intercepted four passes. He opened the season with two interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, in a season-opening 31-14 victory at Empire 8 conference kingpin Cortland. He also added interceptions in key late-season wins over conference foes Westminster and Case Western Reserve.Â
A two-year starter for Grove City, Wheeler returned a blocked field goal 80 yards for a touchdown in the Wolverines' Homecoming win over Waynesburg University. He recorded 26 tackles while helping the Wolverines lead NCAA Division III with 24 interceptions during the regular season.Â
Brubaker and Wheeler both earned First Team All-Conference honors, as well as D3football.com All-Region 2 distinction. Wheeler is the first Grove City defensive back to achieve All-America status since safety Aaron Margo earned American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-America in 2005.
Grove City finished 8-3 overall and advanced to the NCAA Division III playoffs for the third consecutive season.
