GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Grove City College junior cornerback Noah Wheeler (McKinney, Texas/McKinney Christian) earned preseason All-America honors Wednesday from D3football.com as the comprehensive web site released its Division III Preseason All-America teams for the upcoming 2026 season.

Wheeler, an Associated Press Division III All-American last year, started 10 games last season and intercepted four passes. He opened the season with two interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, in a season-opening 31-14 victory at national power Cortland (N.Y.). He also added interceptions in key late-season victories over Presidents' Athletic Conference rivals Westminster and Case Western Reserve. 

A two-year starter for Grove City, Wheeler also returned a blocked field goal 80 yards for a touchdown in the Wolverines' Homecoming win over Waynesburg University. He recorded 26 tackles while helping the Wolverines lead NCAA Division III with 24 interceptions during the regular season. 

Wheeler earned First Team All-PAC and D3football.com All-Region 2 honors as a sophomore. Last spring, Wheeler's teammates selected him as one of four team co-captains for the 2026 season.

Approximately 130 hopefuls report to campus Wednesday afternoon, with preseason drills beginning Thursday. Grove City opens its 10-game regular season schedule Saturday, September 5 by hosting Cortland in a 12 p.m. kickoff at Robert E. Thorn Field.
