WHEATON, Ill. -- The Grove City College women's swimming and diving team closed the fall semester Friday and Saturday by winning the team title at the seven-team Wheaton College Invitational. Grove City concluded the two-day meet with 999 team points. Wheaton took second with 737 points.

Two relay victories helped propel the Wolverines to the team title. The foursome of freshman Mary Anne Altman (Sarver, Pa./Freeport), freshman Mollie Massella (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock), freshman Abigail Vance (Butler, Pa./Butler) and freshman Abby Tweed (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) won the 800 free relay in a time of 8 minutes, 2.38 seconds.

Altman, Tweed, junior Ashley Rauhauser (York, Pa./Homeschooled) and sophomore Hadleigh McNay (Tucker, Ga./Tucker) teamed up for a winning time of 1:49.28 in the 200 medley relay.

Rauhauser also won the 100 backstroke in 59.48 seconds while Vance took the 200 breaststroke in 2:25.01.
