ASHLAND, Ohio -- The Grove City College women's swimming and diving team captured six event victories Saturday but host Ashland pulled out a 169-131 victory over Grove City (2-2) in a non-conference dual meet at Messerly Natatorium.

Hadleigh McNay (Tucker, Ga./Tucker) swept the breaststroke to help pace the Wolverines. She won the 100 breaststroke in 1 minute, 9.85 seconds and then captured the 200 breaststroke in 2:33.42.

Freja Kile (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) prevailed in the 1000 with a time of 11:25.87. Freshman
Abigail Vance (Butler, Pa./Butler) completed Grove City's sweep of the distance events by winning the 500 (5:35.66).

Mary Anne Altman (Sarver, Pa./Freeport) took first in the 50 free with a time of 25.95 while classmate
Mollie Massella (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock) touched first in the 200 butterfly (2:13.50).
Grove City opens its home and Presidents' Athletic Conference schedules Friday, November 7 when the Wolverines host Saint Vincent in a dual meet.
