WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Three Grove City College swimmers earned multiple wins Saturday afternoon as the Grove City women's swimming and diving team captured a 171-92 win at Washington & Jefferson in Presidents' Athletic Conference dual meet action at the Henry Center Natatorium.
Freshman
Pippin Lochstet (Ambler, Pa./Upper Dublin) won three events to help lead Grove City (4-4, 3-1) while senior
Emma Plank (Slippery Rock, Pa./Portersville Christian) and freshman
Freja Kile (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) both nailed down two wins.
Lochstet won the 200 free in a time of 2 minutes, 8.32 seconds, then took the 200 breaststroke in 2:49.02. She closed the day by winning the 400 individual medley in a time of 5:07.97.
Plank won the 100 breaststroke (1:12.95) and 100 butterfly (1:03.04). Kile, meanwhile, touched first in the 100 free (58.27) and the 1650 (19:35.38).
Junior
Sarah Janicki (Denver, Colo./Austin Waldorf) won the 200 butterfly in a time of 2:41.07 and freshman
Hadleigh McNay (Tucker, Ga./Tucker) captured the 500 with a time of 5:55.44.
McNay, Kile, sophomore
Ashley Rauhauser (York, Pa./Homeschooled) and junior
Sadie Shofestall (Brookville, Pa./Brookville) closed the meet by winning the 200 free relay with a time of 1:45.30.
The Wolverines will visit Ohio Northern next Saturday at 1 p.m. in a non-conference dual meet.
